Renovation underway for Falam’s damaged staff housing

 

DEPUTY Minister for Border Affairs Maj-Gen Kyaw Swa Oo, together with the State Minister for Security and Border Affairs and members of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee, inspected the renovation of staff housing damaged by violence in Falam Township yesterday.

They inspected renovation works at various government offices, including roof replacement at the district office of the Immigration and Population Ministry, wall and window repairs at the Township Immigration and Population Office, and floor and roof repairs at the Township Internal Revenue Department and Cooperative Department offices. They instructed officials to complete the works within the specified timeframe and in accordance with the required standards.

In Tiddim Township, they inspected partially damaged buildings, including the Township Police Force, Myoma Police Station, two-storey, six-room staff housing, a monastic education school, the Border Area Ethnic Youth Development Training School and coach building, and the 100-bed Township People’s Hospital. They also inspected the construction of an retaining wall.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Tonzang Township Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee inspected renovation works at the Border Area Ethnic Youth Development Training School, 50- bed Township Hospital, Township Electricity Office and Township Law Office.
