MPT has started providing one-week free emergency communication services, including 1GB mobile data, 100 minutes of MPT-to-MPT calls and 100 SMS messages, for flood-affected people in Laymyethna Township, Ayeyawady Region, starting from 7 August.
Following
flooding caused by the rising Ngawun River, MPT restored communication services
by installing two B2B satellite terminals and a Cell on Wheel (COW) mobile
station at flood relief camps in Sayaykwin and Seiknohgon villages.
MPT
will continue providing support to ensure emergency communications and
connectivity for affected communities.
