VP reviews development projects at 3 universities in Yangon Region

 

Vice-President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Nan Ni Ni Aye, accompanied by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu and regional ministers, visited Yangon University of Economics, Dagon University, and West Yangon University yesterday afternoon.

The Vice-President and her team first arrived at Yangon University of Economics in Dagon Myothit (South) Township, where officials briefed them on the construction of a recreation centre for students’ physical fitness and relaxation, as well as the proposed site for a campus ring road.

In response, the Vice-President instructed officials to supervise the construction to ensure that it meets quality standards and is completed within the designated timeframe. She also emphasized that the recreation centre should serve as a valuable facility supporting students’ physical and mental well-being alongside their academic development and stressed the need to equip it systematically with the necessary sports and recreational facilities. She then inspected the university campus.

Afterwards, they arrived at Dagon University in Dagon Myothit (East) Township, where officials showed them around and briefed them on the renovation of the Padamya Roundabout and the football field, as well as the ongoing use of machinery to improve drainage across the campus.

The Vice-President instructed officials to enhance the campus environment by improving its appearance and cleanliness in accordance with university standards. She also emphasized ensuring that the football field is constructed to the required quality standards and that the sports grounds are managed and maintained systematically. She then inspected the campus.

From there, the Vice-President and her team proceeded to West Yangon University in Htantabin Township, where officials briefed them on campus beautification efforts and the proposed site for a new convocation hall. The Vice-President instructed officials to expand the campus ring road and construct a perimeter fence in coordination with the relevant authorities.
