Appointment of Thai Ambassador to Myanmar agreed on

 

THE Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has agreed to the appointment of Mr Tor Saralamba as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in succession to Mr Mongkol Visitstump.

Mr Tor Saralamba was born on 3 March 1975. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in German from Chulalongkorn University and a Bachelor of Laws from Ramkhamhaeng University of Thailand. He also obtained a Master’s degree in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom.

He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand in 1996 as Attaché, and has served in various capacities at the Ministry, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney and the Royal Thai Embassy in Budapest. Currently, he is serving as Consul-General of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Los Angeles, the United States of America.

Mr Tor Saralamba is married.
