Vice-President U Nyo Saw received a delegation led by Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Abhay Thakur at the Presidential Palace Reception Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
During the meeting,
they cordially and openly exchanged views on further strengthening bilateral
friendship following the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar’s
visit to India, maintaining stability and peace along the shared border, and
expanding bilateral trade. They also discussed potential investments by Indian
investors, the successful implementation of projects that support not only
bilateral trade but also the ASEAN-India Economic Corridor, the development of
banking systems between the two countries, and opportunities for broad-based
cooperation across multiple sectors.
Also present at the
meeting were Deputy Minister for the President’s Office U Khin Latt, Deputy
Minister for Foreign Affairs U Ko Ko Kyaw, and other relevant officials, as
well as officials from the Embassy of India.
