Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker receives Indian Ambassador

 

Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe received Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Abhay Thakur yesterday at the guest hall of the Amyotha Hluttaw in the Hluttaw Building in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, the two sides cordially and openly discussed further strengthening the friendship and cooperative relations between the two countries, maintaining the momentum of bilateral cooperation, sending Hluttaw representatives and staff to India for capacity-building training, cooperation in the diplomatic and legal sectors, enhancing collaboration between the two parliaments, and exchanging legislative experiences.

Also present at the meeting were Amyotha Hluttaw Deputy Speaker Jeng Phang Naw Taung, the chairperson and secretary of the International Relations Committee, responsible officials from the Office of the Amyotha Hluttaw, and officials from the Embassy of India.
