Myanmar President Honours Fallen Heroes with Wreath-Laying Ceremony

 

The high-level Myanmar delegation led by President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing laid a wreath at the Monument to the People’s Heroes at Tiananmen Square yesterday afternoon.

The President is currently in the People’s Republic of China on a State Visit at the invitation of President of the People’s Republic of China Mr Xi Jinping,

The President and his entourage arrived at the Monument to the People’s Heroes, where they were welcomed by senior officers from China. The military band played the national anthems of the two countries. The President, who took position behind two officers conveying the wreath, followed by senior officers from the China and Myanmar delegations, marched to the venue where the wreath would be laid.

The President paid tribute by laying a wreath at the Monument to the People’s Heroes, accompanied by the performance of the military band of the People’s Liberation Army of China.

After cordially greeting the senior officers from China, the President left the Monument to the People’s Heroes.
