As the Mandalay-Htigyaing-Katha-Mohnyin-Myitkyina route has been reopened, vehicles carrying food products, consumer goods, agricultural fertilizer bags, school textbooks, and supplies for Tatmadaw personnel and their families – sent for the third time under the State Government’s arrangement – arrived in Myitkyina, Kachin State, yesterday.
To distribute these
items to farmers in the state, urea fertilizer bags were taken to the warehouse
on the campus of the Institute of Agriculture and Livestock (Myitkyina), while
basic food products such as potatoes, onions, and garlic were delivered to the
stadium.
The Northern Command
commander and state ministers inspected the delivery of Ministry of Education
school textbooks and exercise books to the District Education Office, as
carried out by Tatmadaw personnel, police officers, firefighters, General
Administration Department staff, and municipal staff, and assisted as needed,
including cash support for volunteers.
Similarly, ethnic
language illustrated books and storybooks included in the convoy were delivered
to the Ethnic Literature and Culture Department at the Kachin State Directorate
of the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs in Mangkhein Ward, Myitkyina, where they were
inspected and accepted by the state minister for Ethnic Affairs.
