Union Election Commission Chairman U Than Soe, together with Commission Member U Than Aung Kyaw and Nay Pyi Taw Council members Colonel Ye Moe and U Khin Maung Latt, inspected the maintenance and six-monthly inspections of electronic voting machines (MEVMs) used in eight townships of the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory during the 2025 general election, yesterday afternoon.
The Chairman reviewed
the examinations, findings and repairs of the Myanmar electronic voting
machines used in the 2025 general election, carried out by officials and
technicians from the relevant Election Commission branches in the eight
townships of the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory.
He instructed that the
voting machines are controlled items and should be stored and maintained
systematically to prevent damage, with careful attention paid to regular
six-monthly inspections.
