UNION Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw attended the opening ceremony of the 11th Digitalization of Industrial Russia (2026) Forum, which is being held from 18 to 22 May in Nizhny Novgorod, the Russian Federation.
At
the ceremony, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mr Mikhail Mishustin
delivered the opening remarks, while officials and experts from major Russian
industries discussed the application of digital technologies in their
respective industrial sectors and presented plans and ongoing initiatives.
At
noon, the Union minister attended the discussion titled “The Speed Race: Is
Defence Keeping Pace with Threats?”, and the experts, entrepreneurs and
officials from Russia and international countries discussed how to strengthen
resilience and ensure effective responses to cyber threats, which are currently
one of the major international challenges threatening the entire world.
The
Union minister yesterday received the officials of Security Code Company, a
Russian IT security software and equipment production company and discussed
opportunities for cooperation in sharing modern security technologies with
universities in Myanmar and collaborating in Myanmar’s digital transformation
processes.
He
also visited the IT Campus of Neimark University, which is part of the Russian
government’s Digital Economy national project and serves as a centre prepared
to compete internationally in the technology sector. During the visit, he
discussed the development of human resources in information and communication
technology, potential cooperation in research activities, and an exchange
program for teachers and students.
