Union Minister for Legal Affairs and Union Attorney-General Dr Thida Oo inspected pilot law offices in Yangon Region yesterday, together with Deputy Attorney-General Dr Htein Lin Oo and officials from the ministry.
She
visited pilot law offices in Thingangyun District, Thakayta Township, Thanlyin
District, Ahlon District, Sangyoung Township, Kamayut Township and Thanlyin
Township.
During
the meeting with the staff, the Union minister said the pilot law offices are
being expanded to improve legal professionalism, ethics, office management, and
the transition from manual systems to digitized systems, while also introducing
Pre-Trial Interview (PTI) practices and strengthening cooperation with relevant
organizations to support the rule of law.
The
Union minister also inspected the law offices in Toungoo and Bago on 22 May.
