Central Body for Summoning People’s Military Servants discusses recruitment, job opportunities

 

Union Minister for Defence General Tun Aung, in his capacity as Chairman of the Central Body for Summoning People’s Military Servants, presided over the second coordination meeting of the central body in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

At the meeting, the Union minister said the People’s Military Service Training has concluded 22 batches, and those completed the training serve the state in defence and security duties diligently. Among them, 115 individuals have received gallantry medals, certificates of bravery, honorary certificates, and commendation certificates from senior leaders. At present, two training batches are underway.

Regarding the summoning process, he stressed that the Nay Pyi Taw Council, region and state bodies need to compile and register accurate lists of eligible individuals within their respective areas by cooperating with the Department of Population, Ministry of Immigration and Population. Arrangements must also be made to summon registered individuals on a rotational basis.

He continued that those who completed their service are now being assisted in obtaining relevant training and employment opportunities in government service, overseas jobs, company employment, private sector jobs, and self-employment businesses.

Members of the central body and Nay Pyi Taw, Region/State committees’ chairpersons and officials reported on the matters related to military training.
