The government is inviting members of various armed groups, including the PDF, to return to the legal fold, while providing those who comply with the necessary assistance and support.
A total of 72
DPLA members: 16 males and 40 females, TNLA members: three males, and PDF
members: 11 males and two females, entered the legal fold yesterday. These
returnees are from Nawnghkio, Kyaukme and Hsipaw townships in Shan State
(North), and the handover ceremony took place at the North-East Command
Headquarters with the attendance of Commander Maj-Gen Aye Min Oo and other
relevant officials.
The returnees
signed pledges, and then they were formally handed back to their parents or
guardians.
Those who
intend to rejoin the legal framework are encouraged to promptly contact and
report to the nearest Tatmadaw bases or police stations. They will be welcomed
and accepted, provided with the necessary assistance and support, and cash
rewards for any arms and ammunition.
