Parties, associations and organizations issue special congratulatory messages on election of Senior General Min Aung Hlaing as President

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, selected as Vice-President by the group of elected Pyithu Hluttaw representatives, was elected as President by the Presidential Electoral College comprising all Pyidaungsu Hluttaw representatives at the presidential election on 3 April 2026. The Myanmar Farmers’ Development Party, the National Interest and Development Party, the Pa-O National Organization (PNO) and the Myanmar Writers’ Association released special congratulatory messages on the election of Senior General Min Aung Hlaing as President.

These congratulatory messages stated that they are deeply honoured and delighted that the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw has elected Senior General Min Aung Hlaing as President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Under the leadership of the President, may our nation enjoy peace, stability, and modern development. We fully believe that the Union government led by the President will successfully advance the interests of the nation and the ethnic peoples. May President-elect Senior General Min Aung Hlaing be blessed with peace of mind and good health, and the strength to faithfully serve the interests of the country and religion.
