Announcement 3/2026

1.In the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, the Pyithu Hluttaw, and the Amyotha Hluttaw, formed under the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the formation, election, and approval of Union-level legislative, executive, and judicial bodies and individuals have been carried out in accordance with the Constitution, relevant laws, and rules, and with the consent of the Hluttaw.

2.Accordingly, it is hereby announced that, under the Constitution, relevant laws, and rules, the Union-level dignitaries who have been selected, elected, and approved by the Hluttaw shall, from the time of taking the affirmations at the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw on 10 April 2026, assume authority under Section 427 of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and that the legislative, executive, and judicial powers currently exercised by the National Defence and Security Council are hereby transferred to them.

3.As stated in paragraph 2 above, from the time the Union-level dignitaries have taken the affirmations, it is hereby declared that, under Section 427 of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the State Security and Peace Commission formed by the National Defence and Security Council, the Union Government, Union-level executive and judicial bodies, regional or state governments, and the leading bodies of Self-Administered Division or Self-Administered Zones are hereby dissolved.
