MT Dapeng Princess tanker carrying 33,800 Liquefied Natural Gas tonnes docked at Thilawa Port in Thanlyin Township, Yangon Region, to fulfil LNG needs.
It
is the fifth arrival of this tanker at Thilawa Port to supply LNG. The vessel
is scheduled to call at the Thilawa Port in early April for the sixth time
during the operation.
Through
this LNG supply, LNG power plants in Yangon Region are generating 500
megawatts, covering LNG fuel in the industrial zones in Yangon Region,
including Thilawa SEZ and other critical areas in the region.
The
LNG-fuelled power plants in Yangon Region are supplying 24-hour electricity to
industrial zones within Yangon Region, including the Myaungtaga Industrial Zone
for iron melting, areas directly connected to the LNG power plants, and the key
government departments in the region.
