THE National Defence and Security Council enacted the Amendment to the Co-operative Society Law on 24 February 2026, and it was signed by the Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Senior General Min Aung Hlaing under Section 427 of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
The law introduces amendments to Sections 5, 23, and 36, as well as Chapters 9-A and 9-B, and substitutes provisions in Sections 2, 3, 5, 12, 17, 18, 22, 24, 35, and 38.
