KIA, PDF drone attack on Myitkyina airport draws widespread condemnation

KIA and PDF terrorist groups used FPV suicide drones to attack Myitkyina Airport, a major air hub in Kachin State, at 8.12 pm on 20 February, with the intention of killing and injuring passengers.

The attack was completely unacceptable not only to residents but also to the wider public nationwide. Various organizations have also condemned it. On 24 and 26 February, the Rakhine Literature and Culture Association, the Kayin Literature and Culture Association, and the Zaiwa Literature and Culture Association of Kachin State issued statements respectively expressing strong opposition and condemnation.
