THE XXXIII South-East Asian Games, held in Thailand from 9 to 20 December 2025, are ongoing, and Myanmar’s national teams have so far secured two gold medals, three silver medals, and one bronze across various sports.
A
total of 38 team members, including national athletes, managers, and coaches,
returned to Yangon by air yesterday evening. They were welcomed at Yangon
International Airport by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, regional
ministers, officials from the Department of Sports and Physical Education,
students from the Institute of Sports and Physical Education (Yangon), presidents
and officials from Myanmar sports federations, students, parents, and members
of the public. The chief minister also presented honorary cash awards to the
returning national teams.
