THE Ministry of Information initiated a nationwide public awareness campaign for the 2025 multiparty democratic election by cooperating with the Nay Pyi Taw Council, the region and state governments.
Yesterday, Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn presided over a campaign at the Civil Service Academy (Lower Myanmar).
Speaking at the event, the Union minister stated that every citizen who has reached 18 years of age has the responsibility to cast a vote for the representatives who can develop the country and regions. Election is the affairs of the country rather than party politics. He then urged all the attendees to cast a vote, serving the duties of a citizen.
The Union minister and officials drew lots for MRTV DTH receivers and DVB-T2 set-top boxes and presented them to the winners.
They also distributed election pamphlets to the attendees.
