The fifth day of the 60th Myanma Gems Emporium took place yesterday morning at the Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw, attracting a large number of gem merchants.
At
yesterday’s emporium, 754 jade lots numbered 1 to 1000 were sold to local and
foreign traders through the open-tender system. Foreign and local traders
inspected jade lots numbered 1001 to 2000 and submitted their proposed prices
into the respective tender boxes. Officials will review these proposals and
announce the jade lots to be sold on the morning of 22 November (today).
A
total of 443 pearl lots and 67 gem lots have been sold to local and foreign
merchants through the open-tender system. The remaining jade lots will continue
to be sold through the open-tender system until 26 November.
