UEC Chair and Russian Ambassador hold talks on upcoming elections

 

Union Election Commission Chairman U Than Soe received Russian Federation Ambassador Mr Iskander Azizov yesterday morning at the guest hall of the Union Election Commission Office in Nay Pyi Taw.

They held cordial and open discussions on arrangements for holding the election in phases, advance voting abroad, matters relating to political parties, ongoing electoral processes, the electoral system to be adopted, the invitation of election observation groups, candidate applications, and measures to ensure that all eligible voters can cast their votes.

Members of the Union Election Commission and officials from the Commission Office also attended the meeting.
