Members of the squadron-level exchange delegation and entertainment troupe from the Royal Thai Air Force arrived at the Mingaladon Air Base Headquarters in Yangon on the morning of 4 August aboard a Royal Thai Air Force aircraft. They were welcomed by responsible officials from Tatmadaw (Air) and the Thai Defence Attaché to Myanmar.
Following
their arrival, the exchange delegation attended a briefing on the history of
squadrons, presented by Tatmadaw (Air) officials. As part of the programme,
commemorative gifts were exchanged between squadron leaders of both forces.
On the
afternoon of the same day, members of the entertainment troupe from the Royal
Thai Air Force performed at the Thura Ohn Khaing Hall of the Ground Training
Air Base Headquarters in Meiktila. The event was attended by Chief of Staff
(Air) Lt-Gen Zaw Win Myint and accompanying officers, as well as air base
commanders, officers, personnel, and their families.
After the
performance, the Chief of Staff (Air) presented honorary gifts to the troupe,
followed by a group photo session and a formal dinner in honour of the visiting
delegation.
During their
stay in Myanmar, the delegation visited prominent religious and cultural sites,
including the Shwedagon Pagoda, Botahtaung Pagoda, and Kaba Aye Pagoda. They
also toured notable locations such as Time City, Bogyoke Aung San Market,
Junction City, and other well-known landmarks in Yangon.
The Thai
Royal Air Force delegation concluded their visit and departed from Yangon for
Thailand yesterday evening by Royal Thai Air Force aircraft. Officials from
Tatmadaw (Air) saw them off at the Mingaladon Air Base Headquarters.
