Deputy Minister for Electric Power U Aye Kyaw inspected the 33-megawatt Kyuntapin power station, the 132-megawatt Anisakan power station, and the 132-megawatt Yadanabon power station in PyinOoLwin Township, Mandalay Region yesterday. The inspection focused on power transmission and distribution, as well as electricity generation at the Yeywa Hydropower Plant.
He
met with officials at the control room of the 33MW Kyuntapin power station,
gave foodstuffs to the employees, and inspected the plantation of fruit and
other trees within the power station yard.
Subsequently,
the deputy minister examined power transmission and distribution operations at
both the 132MW Anisakan power station and the 132MW Yadanabon power station,
including power control activities inside the control rooms.
In
the afternoon, he viewed round the dam of Yeywa Hydropower Plant, observing the
water inflow and dam maintenance. He instructed staff to carry out repair and
restoration works to address damage caused by the recent Mandalay earthquake.
He also emphasized supply of spare parts for machinery. He looked into the
switch yard, control room and embankments at the power plant.
Afterward,
he visited the 230kW Shwesayan power station, where he held discussions with
officials. He also inspected power transmission and distribution activities
within the control room and the switch yard.
