Over K148M in drugs seized in South Okkalapa, Mingala Taungnyunt, and Taunggyi

 

AUTHORITIES seized drugs worth over K148 million in South Okkalapa, Mingala Taungnyunt and Taunggyi Townships, according to the Myanmar Police Force.

Acting on a tip-off, a combined team including members of the Drug Enforcement Division searched Kyaw Thet in Mingala Taungnyunt Township at 5 pm on 5 July and seized 0.45 kilogramme of Happy Water and 1 kilogramme of ketamine.

According to the investigation, Police searched the house of Yan Naing Aung in South Okkalapa Township and captured 0.59 kilogramme of Happy Water valued at K20.65 million, 0.015 kilogramme of Ketamine worth K0.75 million and 10 Ecstasy tablets valued at K0.4 million.

On 5 July afternoon, acting on a tip-off, a combined team including members of the Drug Enforcement Division searched a house of Daw Na in Taunggyi and seized 0.45 kilogramme of Happy Water worth K49.5 million and 1.17 kilogrammes of Ketamine worth K11.7 million.

Those suspects have been charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
