MNHRC and MPC jointly host media awareness seminar

The Myanmar National Human Rights Commission and the Myanmar Press Council jointly hosted a media awareness seminar on 1 July at the Commission’s office in Hlaing Township, Yangon Region.

At the media awareness seminar, Myanmar National Human Rights Commission Chairman U Paw Lwin Sein delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the importance of holding such a seminar. Vice-Chairman U Khin Maung Kyaw Din of the Myanmar Press Council spoke about the role of the State and the media, while Secretary U Aye Chan addressed the topic of digital media and its contribution to national development. Chairman U Paw Lwin Sein also reflected on the discussions held during the seminar and expressed his appreciation to all participants.

Officials from both the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission and the Myanmar Press Council were present on the occasion.
