U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received Mr Liu Zhongyi, Assistant Minister of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China, yesterday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw.
Both sides cordially discussed the matters pertaining to the
further consolidating of the existing Pauk-Phaw relations, the promotion of
legal cooperation to jointly address transnational crimes, the enhancement of
collaboration between the relevant departments to combat online gambling and
telecommunication fraud networks along the border areas, the strengthening of
tri-lateral cooperation among Myanmar, China and Thailand including cooperation
with regional and international community and the maintenance of peace and
stability along the Myanmar-China borders.
Moreover, U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and Union
Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received
Mr Dusit Manapan, Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of
Thailand, yesterday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
Both sides cordially exchanged views on further enhancing the
existing bilateral ties and collaboration across various sectors in areas of
mutual interest, enforcing the post-earthquake rehabilitation and
reconstruction efforts. Moreover, both sides deliberated together on the
further enhancement of ongoing cooperation and discussed matters pertaining to
the advancement of the multi-sectoral cooperation, stability along the border
and strengthening people-to-people contacts as well as closer collaboration at
both regional and multilateral arenas.
