Senior General Min Aung Hlaing highlighted that Myanmar and Buryatia have also been cooperating in areas such as science and technology, industrial technology, and various other sectors in addition to religious relations, at the honorary dinner hosted by the Head of the Republic of Buryatia.
The
high-level Myanmar delegation led by State Administration Council Chairman
Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla who
are on the official visit to the Republic of Buryatia of the Russian Federation
was hosted a dinner in their honour by Head of the Republic of Buryatia Mr Alexey
Sambuevich Tsydenov, yesterday evening.
On
arrival at the venue for dinner, the high-level Myanmar delegation led by SAC
Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu
Hla were warmly welcomed by the Head of the Republic of Buryatia and officials.
At
the dinner, the Head of the Republic of Buryatia extended greetings. He said
that he warmly welcomed the high-level Myanmar delegation led by His Excellency
Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister, to the
Republic of Buryatia. Although both countries are geographically distant, they
feel a deep sense of closeness. They also share the same religious faith, and
based on these common spiritual values, they have been strengthening their
cooperation in social and economic sectors. He is greatly honoured and
delighted by the visit of His Excellency to Buryatia.
In
his speech, the Senior General also extended greetings. He said that now is his
third visit to the beautiful and peaceful Republic of Buryatia, and each time
he has arrived there, he feels a deep sense of tranquillity. As a region where
the majority of people practise Buddhism, Buryatia shares a strong spiritual
and cultural connection with Myanmar. Religious exchanges between the two
countries began in 2015 and have now lasted nearly a decade.
He
continued that Myanmar and Buryatia have also been cooperating in areas such as
science and technology, industrial technology, and various other sectors in
addition to religious relations. He expressed his firm belief that these
collaborative efforts will continue to strengthen in the future. Myanmar will
continue to cooperate with the Russian Federation, including the Republic of
Buryatia, in various sectors such as economy, healthcare, education, trade, and
others. The Senior General extended his best wishes for the continued health,
prosperity, and well-being of the Head of the Republic of Buryatia, as well as
all the people of the region.
The
Senior General, his wife and entourage had dinner together with the Head of the
Republic of Buryatia and officials.
During
the dinner, traditional dance troupes from the National Theatre of the Republic
of Buryatia presented songs and dances.
After
the dinner, the Senior General and the Head of the Republic of Buryatia as well
as the wife of the Senior General and the wife of the Head of the Republic of
Buryatia exchanged gifts. The Senior General presented cash awards and gifts to
the traditional dance troupe from the National Theatre.
