Myanmar Construction Entrepreneurs Federation (MCEF) will conduct a one-day training for post-earthquake building assessments and repair techniques free of charge on 5 May in Mandalay and on 12 May in Yangon, with registered architects from Engineering Ministries International and professional engineers.
MCEF
has been carrying out three agendas: rescue, resettlement and raising awareness
efforts.
The
course “Post-earthquake building assessments and repair technique” will be
offered by trainers; Mrs Sarah Dunn, a Registered Architect holding a Master’s
degree in International Cooperation in Sustainable Emergency Architecture from
University International de Catalunya and a Bachelor of Architecture from
Auburn University, Mr Samuel Carrara, a Professional Engineer with Civil
Engineering degree from Norwich University and MBA from Queens University, Mr
Craig Cole, Structural Engineer with Master’s degree in science from the
University of California, and Mrs Jaclyn Miller, an Architect.
