DEPUTY Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo inspected the upgrading work on quake-affected rail tracks and bridges between Nay Pyi Taw railway station and Toungoo railway station by RBE special train on 22 April.
The Deputy PM
and party inspected the Ywataw, Pyinmana, Pyiwin, Ela, Thawuthti, Yeni, Myohla,
Thagara, Swa, Kongyi, Yedashe, Kyungon and Kyaytaw railway stations. During the
inspection, he instructed officials concerned to expedite the repair work,
demolish the stations if needed as per procedures, draft the new railway
station designs and estimation for the new railway stations depending on their
sizes.
They
proceeded to Toungoo Railway Station and inspected the quake-affected buildings
and made proper instructions.
During the
inspection tour, the General cordially greeted the staff and their families
from Pyiwin, Yeni, Myohla, Kongyi, Kyaytaw and Toungoo railway stations and the
civil engineers.
