Myanmar and Egypt discuss further cooperation and areas of mutual interests

 

The Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Kyaw Tin Shein, paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Ahmed Shaheen, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, at the New Administrative Capital on 3 November to exchange views on further bilateral cooperation and matters of mutual interests between the two countries.

Myanmar Ambassador U Kyaw Tin Shein also attended the 274th ASEAN Cairo Committee – ACC Meeting on 31 October at St Regis Hotel in Cairo, alongside other ASEAN Heads of Missions.

The meeting, chaired by the Singaporean Ambassador, who currently holds the ACC chairmanship, focused on reviewing the ACC’s activities completed in 2024, discussing ongoing initiatives to be carried over into the remainder of the year, and exploring opportunities to strengthen relations between Egypt and the ASEAN member nations.
