The Myanmar delegation, including personnel from six ministries led by Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, will attend the opening ceremony of the China-Myanmar Culture Exchange Week and the fourth Twin City Media Forum, which will be held in Kunming, Yunnan Province, from 11 to 15 November.
The delegation meeting was held yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.
Speaking at the event, the Union minister said 48 members will join the China-Myanmar Culture Exchange Week, which can strengthen bilateral relationships. All the members should keep in mind that they should show off the admirable Myanmar culture and promote bilateral relationships during the visit.
Moreover, the events aim to promote friendship and understanding between people from the two countries, exchange cultures, and promote unique tourism. Cultural exchange can deepen communication between the people of the two countries along with development.
MRTV Director-General U Ye Naing then briefed the trip, and six ministries’ staff coordinated the discussion.

Culture Exchange Week opening ceremony and the fourth Twin City Media Forum put
forward their performances in full dress.
The Union minister also inspected Myanmar’s lacquerware and landscape photos to
be displayed at the fourth China-Myanmar Twin City Media Forum by the Ministry
of Cooperatives and Rural Development and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.
A total of 41 staff from the Ministry of Information, Ministry of Religious
Affairs and Culture, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation,
Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, Ministry of Power and Ministry
of Hotels and Tourism, and seven from media and organizations, totalling 48,
will attend the events under the leadership of Union Minister U Maung Maung
Ohn.
The events will focus on 202 online New Media refresher courses, the creation of a China-Myanmar agriculture TV programme, cooperation in media and news 2025, classical literature translation into both languages by the China-Myanmar international information and translation workshop, the introduction of China-Myanmar tourism products and the signing of MoU on tourism cooperation. Moreover, cultural exchanges will include dance performances of Myanmar traditional dance and puppet troupes. Such activities can deepen the friendship and understanding between the two governments and the people.
