THE seventh day of the 2024 Mid-Year Myanmar Gems Emporium continued at the Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, drawing both local and international gem traders. Jade lots from Group C, displayed in designated outdoor areas, were available for inspection and bidding.

session, jade lots numbered 1701 to 2559 were offered for sale through an open
tender system. Organizers announced that 595 lots were successfully sold during
the session.
In the afternoon, Union Minister
for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, U Khin Maung Yi, who also
chairs the Gems Emporium Central Committee, visited the exhibition areas. He
observed traders inspecting jade lots, monitored the submission of tender
offers, and reviewed the tender evaluation process, providing guidance to
officials.
On the eighth day, jade lots
numbered 2560 to 3309 from Group C will be available for inspection and bidding
by domestic traders. The sales results will be announced on the morning of 25
November
The emporium, held from 18 to 27
November, showcases 4,800 jade lots from Groups A, B, and C for sale through an
open tender system. As of the seventh day, 1,823 out of 2,559 jade lots from
Groups A and B have been sold.
Group C jade lots are reserved
exclusively for Myanmar’s MSME enterprises to support local businesses. Only
domestic traders can purchase these lots, with payment strictly in Kyats at the
designated floor prices. Sales of Group C jade lots will continue until 27
November.
