The delegation led by Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy, and Air) General Maung Maung Aye was present at the closing and awarding ceremony of the 32nd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet — 32nd AARM on 22 November at Camp O’Donnell, Tarlas City, the Phillippines, along with the Chiefs of the Armies of the ASEAN nations.
After the awarding ceremony, General Maung Maung Aye encouraged the contestants of Myanmar Tatmadaw.
At the 32nd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM), where 10 teams competed, the Myanmar military team secured fourth place in the national rankings for the precision rifle series. Additionally, in the overall results for precision and rapid-fire shooting competitions, the team achieved third place among the participating countries.
Then, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy, and Air) General Maung Maung Aye attended the special lunch at Camp O’Donnell held by Lt-Gen Roy M Galido, Commanding General of the Philippine Army.
He also met with the Myanmar Embassy’s chargé d’affaires, staff members, and their families, as well as Myanmar military attachés (Army, Navy, and Air), staff of the military attaché office, and their families at Meeting Room 1 of Hilton Clark Hotel on 20 November. The delegation arrived back in Myanmar on 23 November evening.
