Centenary Myanmar Economics and Business Education celebrated

 

UNION Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr Kan Zaw attended the 100th anniversary of Myanmar Economics and Business Education and paper reading section held with three Parallel Sessions at MICC II in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

The Parallel Session I took place with the theme, “100 Years Journey of Economics in Myanmar: Past, Present and Future”, and eight researchers discussed matters related to development, population changes and economic growth during 100 years of Myanmar economics, challenges and opportunities of policymakers in developing countries, reviews on the rural socioeconomic development, three Myanmar cooperatives projects, benefits and challenges in auditing in accord with international standards, potential to implement green economic and social investment for sustainability.

A total of 11 researchers participaed in Parallel Session II themed” World Economy, Megatrends and its challenges”, and they discussed political economic approach in overcoming geopolitical competition, partner politics and economic challenges, new approaches in facing global economic challenges, analysis on impacts of international development assistance for Myanmar, current global economic affairs and challenges, migrant workers, sustainable energy resources, ASEAN Economic Community’s potential and challenges, measures to promote auditing services, The Global Economic Landscape and Economic Opportunities and Challenges in Myanmar and SME development.

The Parallel Session III was held with The Role of Infrastructure in National Development, and seven researchers discussed measures to develop basic infrastructure in multi-modal transportation, water distribution and sanity, public housing rental projects, benefits of sketching geological map, natural gas production (2013-2023) and logistics sectors for international trade of Myanmar.

The second-day paper reading sessions and policy paper reading session will take place on 29 November.
