The second-day session of the 18th plenary meeting of the Eighth 47-member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee was administrated at the Maha Pasana Cave on Thiri Mingala Kaba Aye Hill in Yangon yesterday.
Present on the occasion were members of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee led by Presiding Nayaka Sayadaw of Thanlyin Min Kyaung Pahtamapyan Buddhism Learning Centre Aggamaha Pandita Aggamaha Saddhammajotikadhaja Dr Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin and relevant officials.
State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Chairman Dr Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa presided over the event, and Joint Secretary Sayadaw Aggamaha Pandita Bhaddanta Sihanada acted as the master of ceremonies.
At the event, Sayadaws reported on Vinicchaya, religious affairs and educational matters. The Sayadaws discussed these measures and concluded the first session.
The Vinicchaya affairs and religious-related matters were discussed by Sayadaws in the second session at 1 pm.
Afterwards, the Joint Secretary Sayadaw sought approvals for the report of the eighth State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee (Third branch) in the sixth term and concluded the meeting.
Disciples under the auspices of Kyaikkasan Wailuwun (Shwegyin) Monastery Sayadaw Maha Saddhammajotikadhaja Bhaddanta Manita (Maha Saddhammajotikadhaja) offered breakfast alms-meals and day alms-meals to State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Member Sayadaws who attended the ceremony yesterday.
