THE eighth day of the 2024 Mid-Year Myanmar Gems Emporium continued at the Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Jade lots from Group C, displayed in
designated outdoor areas, were available for local merchants to observe. Jade
lots numbered 2560 to 3309 were offered for sale through an open tender system,
and 735 lots were sold during the session.
In the evening, Union Minister for
Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi, who also
chairs the Gems Emporium Central Committee, visited the exhibition areas. He
observed the inspection of proposed prices for jade of Group C sold via the
open tender system to local gem merchants.
The domestic gem merchants looked
into 750 jade lots from No 3310 to 4059 of Group C to be sold on the ninth day
of the emporium and put their proposed prices into the tender boxes. The
officers checked their prices and the sales of jade lots will be announced on
the morning of 26 November.
The emporium, held from 18 to 27
November, showcases 4,800 jade lots from Groups A, B, and C for sale through an
open tender system. As of the eighth day, 1,823 out of 2,559 jade lots from
Groups A and B, and 735 out of 750 jade lots from No 2560 to 3309 of Group C
have been sold.
Sales of Group C jade lots will
continue until 27 November.
