Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin met Mrs Prabashini Ponnamperuma, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Myanmar, at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
They
cordially exchanged views on the enhancement of religious and cultural
cooperation between the two countries, the facilitation, the of entry visas for
pilgrims to Sri Lanka’s Buddha tooth relic chamber and other places of
religious significance, pilgrimage to pagodas and stupas between Myanmar and
Sri Lanka, and the improvement of relations between Buddhist universities.
