THE proceeds from the sale of paintings at the fourth art exhibition of Hline Me Yaypyin (Waveless Water Expanse) will be donated to the people affected by the flood in Pyinmana township, according to artist Bagyi Hla Tun Aung, an official of the exhibition.
The fourth
Waveless Water Expanse Art Exhibition, organized by Win Foundation artists and
volunteers, will be held in Yangon from 26 to 30 September at Mandalay Art
Gallery, opened in room 105, Aung Chantha Housing near Tamway Ocean, East
Shwegondine Street, Bahan Township.
“Our main
purpose is to donate to flood victims. We plan to connect with a Parahita group
in Pyinmana for donations. Many painters also want to donate. As we cannot
donate a huge lump sum, we will sell the paintings and donate the proceeds. We
plan to hold an exhibition together with the like-minded artists,” he said.
The artists who
want to participate in the art exhibition and donate can contact the group at
room 105, Aung Chantha Housing near Tamway Ocean, East Shwegondine Street,
Bahan township, starting from 18 September.
The exhibition
will be on display at the Mandalay Art Gallery from 9 am to 5 pm every day.
Those interested in the paintings can contact 09 5402275 to enquire about
purchasing and donating.
