THE National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) met with the Working Group of Political Parties yesterday morning at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Centre in Nay Pyi Taw.
irs NSPNC Chairman LtGen Tun Tun Naung, along with committee members, Dr Aung Myat Oo, leader of the political parties working group, and representatives from the Union Solidarity and Development Party attended the meeting.
Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and Dr Aung Myat Oo delivered opening remarks. Lt-Gen Min Naing, Secretary of the NSPNC, then outlined the agenda for the meeting.
The political parties’ working group proposed discussion points and clarified topics raised by the NSPNC. Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein, a member of the NSPNC, announced agreements on union peace and development and discussed amendments to the 2008 State Constitution.
Both sides negotiated the proposed amendments to the State Constitution. The meeting adjourned for the day and will continue on 20 June.
