Myanmar, India to promote bilateral cooperation of two armed forces

 


VICE-SENIOR General Soe Win and Indian Ambassador Mr Abhay Thakur discussed the enhancement of cooperation in peace and stability at the Myanmar-India border region.

Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win received Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Mr Abhay Thakur, at the Credentials Hall of the Office of the State Administration Council Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.

Both sides discussed bilateral trade, an increase in investments, development undertakings being conducted by both countries and cooperation in systematically turning out skilled workers and human resources for the development of the industrial sector.

Also present at the meeting were the officials and the deputy minister for foreign affairs, U Lwin Oo.

The Indian Ambassador was accompanied by Deputy Head of Mission of the Indian Embassy Mr Ashish Sharma, the Defence Attaché of India to Myanmar and officials.
