ACCORDING to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Myanmar Embassy to Kuwait participated in the Asian Culinary Festival held at City Hypermarket in Kuwait City on 24 May.
The
event was mainly sponsored by City Hypermarket, a prominent supermarket in
Kuwait City, and co-sponsored by food industry companies such as Jollibee,
Vinta Kuwait, Berry Blast, Moonalicious, Hangout Coffilia, and Kedai Indonesia.
The
report states that the embassies of Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Nepal, the
Philippines, and Thailand also took part in the festival.
During
the event, the embassies displayed and sold their traditional foods and
products and performed cultural acts. Tourism promotion video clips from the
participating embassies were also shown throughout the festival.
The
Embassy of Myanmar sold Myeik kat kyi kaik (traditional fried vermicelli) and
semolina cake and showcased Myanmar’s tourism promotion video clips. Myanmar
tourism promotion CDs and pamphlets were also distributed to visitors at the
festival.
