MoBA UM inspects regional development and human resource development in Nagmon, PutaO townships

 


UNION Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung inspected the construction work of the new RC double-storey annexe at Nagmon People’s Hospital in Kachin State on 29 December, comprising the outpatient department and intensive care unit, and comforted the patients receiving medical treatments. 

After that, the Union Minister gave the instruction to officials that the patient who is being treated at the hospital with chronic kidney disease be transported to the general hospitals for medical examination and treatment. 

At Kasanthi suspension bridge in Nampandam village, he fulfilled requirements for the necessary maintenance. 

At the Basic Education High School (Nagmon), the Union minister donated laptop computers and printers and inspected city water supply works. 

In the afternoon, the Union minister visited the historic Kaunghmulon Pagoda in PutaO and discussed the maintenance and repair of the pagoda premises. The ministry is carrying out construction of the passage rounded at Kaunghmulon and replicas of Shwezigon and Shwedagon pagodas. 

After that, Union minister viewed progress of a concrete road undertaken by the Ministry of Border Affairs in the PutaO Plain. 

The PutaO Plain circular road is 25 miles long and connects 28 villages and farms. The concrete road, which was implemented by the Ministry of Border Affairs, the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, and the Kachin State Government under a three-year project, will be completed by the end of this financial year, so local products will be able to be transported easily. 

At the Phangkhaing Charity Monastic Education School, he donated foodstuffs and others to the Sayadaw for convenience of students. On 30 December, the Union Minister visited the 24-mile and 7-furlong road upgrading work for Upper Samkhaung-Lonnadam-Ziyadam road and the 240- foot bridge over the Mular Creek, which will effectively contribute to the development of tourism in PutaO. 

On arrival at the 20-acre Matpang Model Plantation project of the Ministry of Border Affairs in Kaungkahtaung Ward, he inspected progress of water supply project for the farm.
