U Min Thein Zan, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Myanmar Youth Affairs Central Committee, and Vice-chairpersons Dr Nyunt Pe, Union Minister for Education, Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, Union Minister for Science and Technology, Dr Soe Win, Union Minister for Social Welfare Relief and Resettlement, deputy ministers and officials viewed round the exhibits displayed by 16 ministries to mark the 76th Independence Day Youth and Literary Fine Arts Festival held at Wunna Theikdi Gymnasium B in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The Youth and Literary Fine Arts Festival is to be held in high esteem by all citizens to make them aware of the history of Independence Day and the struggle for independence. To further forge national spirit and patriotism among the youths with the power of literature and art, rich in knowledge and correct ideas and nation-building, the festival is held with the objectives of participation and cooperation as much as possible.
The 76th Independence Day Youth and Literary Fine Arts Festival was held under the theme "Let's raise awareness to benefit the Union". The festival featured galleries from ministries, entertainment programmes, artistes and discussions. Traditional ethnic food stalls and bookstores are on display, and from 20 to 22 December, it will be held from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm every day, and anyone can visit it for free.
