ACCORDING to the association’s statement, a discussion was held between the Union of Myanmar Travel Association (UMTA) and the Thai Travel Agents Association (TTAA) regarding the development of bilateral tourism between Myanmar and Thailand.
Discussions delved into organizing a familiarization trip (FAM trip) to Myanmar, exchanging information, and outlining a cooperation framework, including joint marketing initiatives and support for tourism activities.
To leverage the strengths of each country and address visa support issues, strategies were developed and submitted to overcome common barriers, such as transport, communications and marketing activities.
Both countries signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), and with rich cultural heritage and enchanting landscapes, along with numerous tourist attractions, they intend to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance cooperation for mutual benefit. TWA/KZW
