Maravijaya Monastery offered to abbot monk at gala ceremony

 


Maravijaya Monastery is systematically facilitated with a prayer hall, a lecture hall, bedrooms, a library and reading rooms, refectories, toilets, kitchen hall and layperson halls for convenience of members of the Sangha in daily routine.

 



A ceremony to offer Maravijaya Monastery yesterday morning took place in the precinct of Maravijaya Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw where the Maravijaya Buddha Image is located.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and family offered a paper of donating the monastery to Abbot Agga Maha Pandita Bhaddanta Neminda.

They also donated offerings to Presiding Patron of Pali Tekkatho Mingalazeyon Monastery in Pyinmana Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Bhaddanta Vimalabuddhi and the abbot of the monastery respectively.

Vice-Chairman of the SAC Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win, his wife Daw Than Than Nwe and attendees also offered alms to venerable Sayadaws.

After successfully holding the ceremony to offer the Maravijaya Monastery, the Senior General, wife and congregation donated day meals to members of the Sangha led by the Pali Sayadaw.

The Maravijaya Monastery was collectively contributed by well-wishers led by leading donor Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla.
