Tatmadaw senior officers oversee recovery efforts in Rakhine State

 


THE State Administration Council has released announcements for Mocha-hit areas declaring natural disaster-affected regions under Section 11 of the Natural Disaster Management Law and assigned senior military officers to the respective regions to conduct rehabilitation processes.

Lt-Gen Lu Aye of the Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army), currently in Kyaukpyu Township, together with officials, checked the cleanup activities at No 1 BEHS in Kyaukpyu Township yesterday.

Similarly, Lt-Gen Aye Win of the Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army), who arrived in Buthidaung Township, along with officials, inspected the cleanup activities and public healthcare services at schools and wards in Buthidaung Township.

Moreover, Maj-Gen Aung Myo Tun, who arrived in Rathedaung Township also observed the collective cleanup activities of departmental staff and locals on Minbargyi Road in Taungyintan Ward.

Meanwhile, Brig- Gen Aung Thu Oo, currently in Kyauktaw Township, met departmental officials in Kyauktaw and provided supplies for rehabilitation processes. Brig-Gen Win Maung, who arrived in Ponnagyun Township, also inspected the cleanup programmes of departmental staff and locals at post-BHPS.

Moreover, Brig-Gen Tin Swe, together with relevant officials also inspected the cleanup procedures of departmental staff and locals at the public water tank in Maungtaw Township and provided the needed assistance.
