THE Ministry of Health has been dispatching medical teams consisting of general practitioners, surgical specialists, orthopedic specialists and pediatricians to Rakhine State, in addition to specialist doctors and health workers from hospitals in Rakhine State, in order to strengthen health care in Mocha-affected Rakhine State. A specialist medical team with the support of the Withakha Foundation left Yangon for Sittway yesterday to provide health care services to local people at the Sittway Public Hospital.
The medical team treated a total of 1,144 residents suffering from various diseases and also performed necessary tests on 202 patients to identify diseases.
It is known that the Ministry of Health will continue to send medical teams, including specialists, to Rakhine State to carry out medical treatments.
