CHAIRMAN of the National Disaster Management Committee Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win viewed the renovation of the damaged parts at St Mark Cathedral at the corner of Meyu and Chinpyan roads in Sittway yesterday morning.

religious affairs.
After
coordinating necessary measures, the Vice-Senior General said that although
everybody is allowed freedom of faith for relevant religions under the
Constitution, they all are residing in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, so
they have to be loyal to the State. In accord with the guidance of the Prime
Minister, efforts are be ing made to soonest rehabilitate the Mocha-hit areas.
The people managed to encounter a severe storm with the least casualties. He
requested that reverends and members have to join hands in rehabilitation tasks
as much as they can. Then, the Vice-Senior General presented foodstuffs and aid
to Christian organizations.
At
Thetkaepyin IDP camp, the Vice-Senior General explained the suffering of
everybody regardless of citizens, associate citizens and naturalized citizens
in all advantages and disadvantages, said that it was necessary to understand
the goodwill of the State and active participation in rehabilitation measures
and presented foodstuffs, packets of vegetable seeds and tarpaulin rolls to
officials.
