BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF 13 June 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Nay Pyi Taw, Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, fairly widespread in Magway Region and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyawady Regions and Kachin State. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35-40 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

Rain or thundershowers will be above normal in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Northern and Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, below normal in Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, and about normal in Lower Sagaing, Yangon and Ayeyawady Regions and Southern Shan and Rakhine States.
